Job title: Portable Power Business Development
Job type: Full-time
The Portable Power Business Development position is responsible for managing Portable Power specific sales activities by performing direct sales, supporting indirect sales, ensuring rental and sales revenues and profit growth as it relates to the organization’s Portable Power market segment.
Summary of essential job functions:
- Develop business and revenue in the local commercial, construction and special events markets through sales of portable power and distribution
- Create a strategic partnership with dealers
- Increase revenue through direct sales and supporting indirect sales
- Build and maintain professional relationships with new and existing clients
- Explore and develop opportunities in other regional markets
- Utilize a consultative sales model for gaining and building client relationships
- Apply critical thinking and problem solving skills to promote products
- Be knowledgeable of full product portfolio in order to increase sales and opportunities
- Research and remain knowledgeable of current and new trends in the portable power industry
- Track and report business development progress
Job qualifications and skills
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Highly motivated and able to perform in high-paced and demanding environments
- Minimum 5 years’ of industry experience
- Strong sales, critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Commercial, construction and portal power experience preferred
