Richard Martin – Chief Revenue Officer

For the past 34 years, Richard has worked primarily in the events industry and has excelled in sales, rentals, manufacturing, and business ownership. Richard is considered one of the industry’s leading figures for his experience with high-profile events and structure expertise. He frequently speaks at industry conferences and expos and was recently elected to the steering committee of the IFAI (Industrial Fabrics Association International) Tent Rental Division.

Richard began his career in 1989 selling structure tents in the UK with a large manufacturer named Roder, in January of 1992 he relocated to the USA to assist with the start-up of Roder’s American division (Roder USA).

Before starting URS and SoCal tents & Events, Richard worked in various capacities including Vice President of Sales for Academy Tent and Canvas and owner of two successful event rental companies, Peerless Events in Tempe, AZ and Distinctive Tent Rentals in Denver, CO.

Richard merged Peerless Events and Distinctive Tent Rentals with Phoenix-based Arizona Tents & Events, Gorilla Companies, and Tucson based Party Concepts, together with a private equity group, to create a full-service events management company named Profession Event Management (PRO EM).

Projects of interest that Richard has been involved with include the Super Bowl, U.S. Open Tennis, U.S. Open Golf, Olympic Games in Atlanta, Lipton Tennis Championship in Miami, Pan American Games in Dominican Republic, Formula One Racing, Miami Boat Show, 7th on 6th Fashion show in New York, and the Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, the Oprah Winfrey Tour, Microsoft, IBM, and McDonalds Corporation.
